When a decision to produce new seed is made, the needed quantity will be ordered in the best available production area and technique. Optimizing production quantity is based on area information. With a fully integrated planning procedure, the effects of extremes in crop results or changes in the forecast will be less. Also required stockseed will be planned automatically based on the production planning.

The system is designed to be flexible: fields, contracts and products can be allocated ad random and pre-calculated. Administrative activities at the office are integrated with the field activities.
Field activities, including all types of protocols and inspections, are suggested and scheduled by the system based on crop type. If needed, due to changes or additional activities in the field, rescheduled. Field activities are registered using a PDA. Afterwards findings of the production module are linked to the processing module.
Monitoring the growth of the crops gives direct control on the expected yield and quality, which is directly reflected in the expected inventory and production planning. The system keeps track of all costs relating to a production lot and it reports on the financial performance of each individual field.
